# Store Maintenance

If your store is undergoing maintenance and orders or functions are temporarily disabled, you can use our Notibar plugin to show a banner about the same.

It will help users understand that maintenance is underway and that they can come back once the process is complete.

Here is how to show a banner for store maintenance.

The first thing you need to do is [install and activate the Notibar plugin on your website](/notibar/getting-started/installation.md). Once you have done that, [activate the license key](/notibar/getting-started/license-activation.md).

Now, you need to [create a new bar](/notibar/tutorials/how-to-display-a-notification-bar-in-wordpress.md). If you have already done these, you can skip these steps. Now open the Notibar settings and tweak the content as per your liking.

<figure><img src="https://2063119859-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F35jzYIZxvumkpSJGtFtc%2Fuploads%2FFuPVOBwsX5EYdmXJ8yO0%2Foffline%20content.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=158724fe-0454-406d-8b4b-0423f0567c8f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You do not actually need a button for this type of banner. But if you have an online status page, you can enable the button and add the link there.

The live preview will show you the finished banner.

<figure><img src="https://2063119859-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F35jzYIZxvumkpSJGtFtc%2Fuploads%2FSchGWoxQisYjyE5PQxwb%2Foffline.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=ebc4bd6c-8435-4ed9-8af1-eef6c251dd42" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You can also tweak it further by [displaying different content on mobile](/notibar/tutorials/how-to-show-different-notibar-content-on-desktop-and-mobile.md), [disabling it on mobile](/notibar/tutorials/how-to-show-the-notification-bar-only-on-desktop-or-mobile.md), [enabling it only on specific days](/notibar/tutorials/how-to-show-a-notification-bar-on-specific-days.md), [displaying it between specific dates](/notibar/tutorials/how-to-show-a-notification-bar-between-specific-dates.md), and so on.

Since this is a scheduled launch, it is ideal to mention a time in the Notibar settings so this specific bar will be removed from the site once the timer hits.

Here, we mentioned 7 PM. So, go to the behavior settings and enable the schedule option.

<figure><img src="https://2063119859-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F35jzYIZxvumkpSJGtFtc%2Fuploads%2FVCeocGosKo5BMCcFIdXW%2Fschedule%20option1.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=8d1b1649-19bd-409c-98da-5835f1220b8c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Now, if you check the ends on section, you can see an option to mention a deadline for the banner. Enter the date and time there.

<figure><img src="https://2063119859-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F35jzYIZxvumkpSJGtFtc%2Fuploads%2FxNP3vpbE9IwZ6JVpQWh2%2Fends%20on.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=861c61de-a3c9-415f-b794-61f2da40dc09" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

So when this time comes, the bar will be taken down from the front. Give it a try. When you are done, you can publish the changes. Feel free to [check out our guide on displaying a notification bar between specific days](/notibar/tutorials/how-to-show-a-notification-bar-between-specific-dates.md) to learn more about this configuration.
